Bat
Cave does, indeed, have bats. As typical, these low latitude bats are
bigger than mid latitude bats. Unfortunately, none stayed in flight
long enough to be caught in pictures while flapping. Note the extraordinary
matching of color of bat to environment. The bat is circled because
it is so hard to pick out. If you don't believe it really is a bat,
take a look at the dark folded wing on the lower right. You can see
the bat's thumb sticking up. Also, if you look closely, you can see
the slightly lighter brown ear in front of the wing. |
