Barbara's Great Marble Project

I am in the process of buying a townhouse. It's only 3 years old, and most of it is very beautiful. But the master bathroom is really boring with lots of plain white tile. I want to make it a geologic wonderroom. I'm on a hunt for marble or limestone with fossils. I would love to add geologic/lapidary accent slabs (about 4 x 4" or so) into the tiles. My humblist apologies for all the overhead light (and flash) reflections on the tile. That and the poor color reproduction. I did what I could, but the tile was generally attached to displays!

A "before" view of the existing bathroom

Here's an example of a refinished bathroom using one of my favorite marbles, Breccia Oniciata. The only thing is that it doesn't have fossils and it's a little pale/cold looking. What you you think? This tile would be super good with accents added.

Here's my favorite fossil-rich stone: Cafe Pinto. But it's a little too grey-brown. I'm thinking that if I use it, I might pair it with another stone. I'm thinking of a much finer-grained greenish rock: Verde Royal. But really, I don't think I can add accent pieces to this, or it will be too busy.

Here are other marbles:

Botticino Americana

Miscellaneous Marbles

Onyx

I'm having trouble getting much in the way of accent slabs. Except for my friend Dennis who can get me some petrified wood. Right now I'm leaning toward Cafe Pinto and no other accents of any kind.
